We have opened our hearts to this new culture and have spent many hours in prayer over this decision. Tears have been shed for this precious one as we wait to see what the future holds for our little family. We are excited about the months ahead! We have completed a battery of applications, background checks, government forms, and questionnaires to get to this point. At times it has been frustrating and crazy, but it is SO worth every second. We have poured our hearts and minds out over questions both simple and unimaginable. We have already met some of the most wonderful and kind people and we will get to see this through to the finish with them. Our first and largest "paperwork" chunk is done! The home study. Now we are waiting. Waiting for the final document, waiting for the Chinese translation, waiting for our final match! We have already been pre-approved/matched with a specific child but we will keep those details a secret for now in case God shows us He has had another plan all along. We dream about this sweet little one all day, pick out things for them, and have loved them from the moment that we were given their picture.
